HOW TO BACKUP YOUR GOOGLE DATA

How about your Google account, I mean Gmail. Today many people have Google accounts. If you also have a Google account you might also use Hangouts, Google+, Blogger, YouTube, Google Drive, Photos, Bookmarks, Calendars, Google Photos and many more... You always need to backup all your data to save yourself from many problems. The data on your Google Drive might be important for running your business. The videos on YouTube and pictures on Google Photos might be cherished, your Hangouts and Google+ data might be sentimental. Thus, the need to backup your Google data arises. The best thing is all these come under one Google umbrella and can be backed up at once as Google supports all of them and many more and there is no need to go to each site one by one to backup each of them. All you need to backup your Google data contains few very easy steps.

Steps to backup your Google accounts are given below :-

NOTE :-You must have to install version of Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari or Mozilla Firefox which is released after 2013 for the following steps.

• Go to Google and Sign In your account by clicking on "Sign In" button at the top right corner and providing your E-mail ID and password.
• When you have Singed In Your profile picture will be showing at the top right corner at Google's Web Page.
• Click on your profile picture.
• Click on "Account".
• New page will open.
• In the new page click on "Data tools" tab in the top menu.
• In the next page click on "select data to download" under Data tools pane.
• Click on "Create an archive".
• In the next page deselect a Google product if you don't want its backup.  
• The backup archive created is in .zip by default format but you can change it into .tbz or .tgz file.
• Click on "CREATE ARCHIVE".

Depending on the amount of data you created on Google the archive can take hours or even days to create. Once the archive is created, like Facebook and Twitter you will receive an e-mail with a download link. If your data is more than 2 GBs the archive will split into multiple Zip files.This link is valid only for one week for security reasons and same archive can be downloaded only five times.
