VeriFace
In this era of passwords, Lenovo VeriFace identifies users by matching unique features of human faces with the photographs it takes by the webcam. It allows entry only if the face matches with the pictures taken earlier with the webcam. Although, in 2009 It was reported that the version available could be fooled by holding up a photograph of the person whose face is the password in front of the webcam, and therefore offers only limited security to the people using it. But today it has covered its weakness and currently it is not so easy to fool the software with a photograph of the person whose face is the password.
VeriFace comes preloaded in some IdeaPad netbooks and notebooks and it works only on currently only works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. It does not work on previous versions of Microsoft Windows.
VeriFace is a facial recognition software which can do:

The advantage of a face recognition system is that no password is needed and no other person will be able to log in to your computer except you. VeriFace can also be used for encrypting files. The procedure is similar to the log-in process excepting the capture window. You also need a capture of your facial image, but in this case it is used as a file encryption password. Only you will be able to open and read a file encrypted with VeriFace.
